The Akrogiali tavern is the great effort of our grandparents. The history of the tavern is full of love, effort and dreams, which started from our grandfather's love for this place and its beauty.
Akrogiali is in a magical location in Agios Ioannis Pelion next to the sea, offering not only great food but also a warm, family atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere.

The beginning
In 1973, our grandfather, fascinated by the beauty of the coastal location, managed to buy the building where the tavern is today. After the building was purchased, the ground floor functioned as a fruit stand, serving the locals with fresh fruit and vegetables. The upper floor had very simple rooms where passers-by were accommodated, offering simple but warm hospitality.

The Great Renovation
Over the years and the growing popularity of the spot, our grandparents dreamed of something bigger and more ambitious. In 1983, they made the big decision to completely renovate the building. They demolish the old building and rebuild the new building from the ground up. Ground floor (today restaurant) and two floors (today rooms for rent)

The restaurant
Akrogyali Tavern is the great effort of our grandparents who with great passion and hard work opened its doors in 1987 and quickly became known for its authentic Greek cuisine and warm hospitality.
Without any experience in catering, but with a lot of love for traditional Greek cuisine and customer service, they managed to create a place that everyone loves and respects. Every meal served at the Akrogiali tavern has a story, hidden behind the recipes passed down from generation to generation.
Our grandmother, with her cooking skills and traditional recipes, managed to make the tavern famous. The grandfather, on the other hand, was responsible for the daily operation and management of the place while all the meals of the day passed through his hands. Their cooperation and dedication were the ingredients that made the tavern what it is today.

Today
Today the tavern continues to operate with the second and third generations with the same dedication and passion, keeping alive the tradition created by our ancestors.
The sea view, warm atmosphere and excellent cuisine make Akrogiali Tavern a favorite destination for locals and visitors alike.
The two floors consist of six rooms completely renovated with respect, ready to welcome their guests, giving carefree, relaxing holidays. The rooms are equipped with all modern amenities, offering comfort and a pleasant stay.
